Count On Me is a tropical house cover of the Bruno Mars song by Laurentius and Sophia Heart, released on 6 November 2026 through MusicUp. The original was written by Bruno Mars, Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine, and this version turns it into a modern tropical and chill house record.
Bruno Mars has always been an inspiration to Laurentius, in sound and in production. Laurentius grew up with the pop of the late 00s and the 10s, the era Bruno Mars helped shape. What stands out about Count On Me is what it's about: friendship. In an era dominated by romantic songs, a song about friends stands out, and it really makes you feel something. That warm feeling simply had to be reworked into a new, modern tropical and chill house cover.
MusicUp believed in the project straight away, and the track with Sophia Heart was born. A&R Andrea Bratti, better known as AUGUSTKID, signed the song. He and Laurentius had already made Live Without You together.
Laurentius, real name Lars Jacob Beerda, produced, mixed and mastered Count On Me at CUE Sound, his studio in Zwolle. The soft, smooth sound of the record was born there.
Sophia Heart is a project managed by James Stefano and a voice making strong waves in the chill house scene. In her debut year, 2026, she has reached around 8 million streams, with major playlist placements and record deals along the way, and at the time of this release she has nearly 400,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
